• Introduction to cyanotype (blue printing)
• Mixing the chemicals yourself
• Coating & creatively preparing paper
• Exposing with sunlight or UV light
• Developing & fixing
• Individual work & experiments

€120 per participant (materials & drinks included)

GROUP SIZE
Maximum 4–5 participants
→ The workshop will take place even with only 1 booking (with reduced duration).

• 10–15 of your own cyanotype prints on high-quality paper (up to A4)
• All photo chemicals
• A wide selection of photo motifs, plants & stencils
• Coffee, tea & water

WHAT TO BRING
• You are welcome to bring your own papers (up to A4, 150–300 g/m²)
• Curiosity, openness to experiment, and a desire for a creative break

💙 What to expect
Step into the fascinating world of cyanotype! We work with non-toxic photo chemistry, photographic motifs, natural objects, and light. You’ll learn the fundamentals of this historic process—one of the oldest photographic techniques in the world.
Before long, you’ll create truly unique works of art, and leave not only with at least 10 of your own prints, but also with the knowledge of how to continue exploring the technique on your own. 🌿☀️✨

🌧️ And if it rains? (Hamburg)
No worries—we have a sheltered, light-filled space in the garden. Whether sunshine or rain: the workshop will take place in any weather.

Most workshops take place in Hamburg—in a garden with access to a sheltered, light-filled space. Only the “Cyanotype for Beginners” workshop is currently offered at the studio by the Spree in Berlin—about every two months.
