Together we embark on a small journey of discovery into the realm of blue. With light and shadow, plants, stencils, and your imagination, magical images appear on paper—without a single brush or pen.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Children aged 8 and older who are curious, playful, and eager to experiment. No prior experience needed.
The workshop is led by an artist with many years of experience working with children at youth art schools.

A private garden in Hamburg-Poppenbüttel, with access to a sheltered, light-filled area.

WHAT TO EXPECT
After a short introduction to the secrets of cyanotype printing, children create their own artworks using leaves, feathers, or stencils. They place their designs in the sunlight, watch the colors transform, and experience the magical moment when the deep blue appears during rinsing. At the end, we look at the artworks together, and each child proudly takes home their own prints. 💙

COSTS
€29 per child (materials & drinks included)

GROUP SIZE
Depending on the weather, up to six children can take part outdoors. In case of rain, the workshop will be held in a sheltered space.

NOTES
Most workshops take place in Hamburg—in a garden with access to a sheltered, light-filled space. Only the “Cyanotype for Beginners” workshop is occasionally offered at the studio by the Spree in Berlin—about every two months.
